Our Story

We believe change businesses.

Founded in 2006 by a team of former Big-Four partners who believed the profession had lost sight of what mattered: clarity, candour, and genuine client outcomesu2014not billable hours.

The Beginning

Built as a reaction to how audit had stopped serving clients.

In 2006, four partners left the Big Four with a conviction: that the world’s most important financial function had become a compliance exerciseu2014a box-tick performed by rotating teams of juniors supervised by partners who barely knew the client’s name.

They founded LedgerWise on one rule: every engagement, without exception, is led start-to-finish by a named partner. Not managed. Led.
That rule has never changed. Eighteen years and 800 clients later, it remains the single thing our clients mention first when asked why they stay.

Where We Are Now

Eighteen years of growth without compromising the founding rule.

From four people in a serviced office to 42 partners and 180 professionals across three citiesu2014our growth has been deliberate. We’ve turned away engagements that would have required us to compromise on partner involvement or quality.

Today we serve companies from Series A startups preparing for their first statutory audit to NYSE-listed enterprises requiring PCAOB-registered assurance. The industries are different. The rule is the same.

What We Believe

Six principles that govern every engagement we take.

01

Independence, Always

Our opinion is never for sale. We resign from engagements where independence is at risku2014even when that's commercially inconvenient.

02

Clarity Over Comfort

We tell clients what they need to hear, not what they want to. A clean opinion that hides a risk is worse than a qualified one that names it.

03

Partner-Led, Always

The partner who signs your report is the partner who ran your audit. There are no exceptions to this ruleu2014ever.

04

Depth Over Breadth

We limit the number of new clients we onboard each year deliberately. Understaffed engagements are how mistakes happen.

05

Transparency in Fees

Every engagement is fixed-fee. We don't send surprise invoices. If scope changes, we discuss and agree before a single hour is spent.

06

Long-Term Relationships

Our average client tenure is 9 years. We invest in understanding your businessu2014so each year's engagement is faster, sharper, and more valuable.
